When the script bleeds into reality, beleaguered theatre worker Ye Xing Xing (Wu Xuan Yi) finds her life inextricably linked to top actress Xin Ling (also played by Wu Xuan Yi). Xing Xing struggles with a thankless job and fractured personal life, only to discover her existence may be a pre-written script. As fiction and reality overlap, she and Xin Ling embark on a journey of shared identities. Along the way, Xing Xing grows close to director Sui Yi (Zhai Xiao Wen), the man seemingly destined to be her male lead. But as the plot goes off the rails and characters break free from their assigned roles, the trio finds themselves caught between worlds, navigating self-discovery, love, and the freedom to rewrite their own endings. This drama was inspired by the novel "Xi Ju Nv Shen" by Ming Yue Dang.
