A man is engaged to a woman chosen by his family, but he is in love with another woman from his youth and has been secretly dating her for the past year. But Park Ji Hyung (Kim Rae Won) has had an understanding with Lee Seo Yeon (Soo Ae) that they would only date until his marriage to Hyang Ki (Jung Yoo Mi). Although Seo Yeon knew the agreement from the beginning, she is devastated by the break-up with Ji Hyung. It is the latest heartbreak after a lifetime of hardships. Seo Yeon lost her father when she was only 5 and then her mother left her when she was 6, leaving her and her younger brother Moon Gwon (Park Yoo Hwan) to be raised by their aunt. Ji Hyung tries to tell his mother that he doesn’t want to marry Hyang Ki and that he is in love with someone else, but he is told that it is too late for him to back out of the marriage. Meanwhile, the heartbroken Seo Yeon starts to forget things that seem minor at first and then gradually escalates to important things. Although she thinks the memory loss is due to her broken relationship, it seems to be much more nefarious. As her condition becomes more and more severe, Ji Hyung has a tough decision to make about his future and whether he can just stand by and watch the woman he loves deteriorate before his eyes. “A Thousand Days’ Promise,” also known as “Forget Me Not,” is a 2011 South Korean drama series directed by Jung Eul Young.
