Synopsis

A mix-up opens up a whole new world for a young woman with nowhere to go. Wang Xiao Xia (Lee Da Hae) has always had a rough life but faces the challenges with resilience and perseverance. After she and her brother grew up in an orphanage, her irresponsible brother saddles her with his son and disappears. Xiao Xia works many jobs to support herself and her nephew, only to have a misunderstanding with her landlord result in them being kicked out of their apartment. With nowhere else to turn, Xiao Xia runs into Chen Hao Jie (Zhou Yun Shen), who offers to help her find a place to live in exchange for Xiao Xia posing as his girlfriend with his family for just one day. But when Hao Jie is unable to wrangle any money out of his father, he disappears, leaving his family with the misunderstanding that Xiao Xia is Hao Jie’s fiancée and her nephew is Hao Jie’s son! A series of incidents leaves Xiao Xia unable to clear up the misunderstanding, as she and her nephew have nowhere else to go. Hao Jie’s younger brother, Chen Hao Feng (Joe Cheng), takes an instant disliking to Xiao Xia. Hao Feng heads up the family’s restaurant business as the talented head chef. But when Hao Feng and his family discover that Xiao Xia has a rare natural talent for cooking, they are eager to groom her to become a head chef. When Hao Feng’s ex-girlfriend comes back into his life, what will happen to his newfound closeness with Xiao Xia? “Love Actually” is a 2012 Chinese drama series directed by Lin He Long.
