This review will be edited when it ends. So far only two episodes in, but there’s potential for this show, and I’m quite pleasantly surprised by the casting of the main leads Marcus and Vivian. It’s a slow build up, but so far, I’m loving how meta it is and that the writers are actively making fun of typical drama tropes...while using those same drama tropes. So yes, it's intentional that the drama has a typical CEO ML and a poor but hardworking FL. And yes, it's intentional that the FL criticizes the plots of the romance books her publishing company releases. Fingers crossed that the momentum will carry through to all the episodes!

Frustrated by the low reviews due to complaints about subtitles, so I'm also going to rate this a 10 and change my review later. Viki really needs to lock these ratings until a couple episodes actually air. Update: actually quite liked the drama a lot. It's a definite rom com so the drama doesn't get too heavy. It's fluffy and lighthearted, making it a feel-good binge watch drama. But it still touches on how perseverance and hard work can make the most unattainable dreams a reality. Quite appreciated Gong Hyo Jin in this one.

From start to finish this drama was beautifully written, acted, directed, and executed. I was so worried that somewhere down the line, the quality of writing would slip up, but it was well plotted and cleverly written all the way through. If you’re not following the plot closely, you may miss some details and get confused by the time skipping. Somehow, this odd combination of a growing pains drama sprinkled with time travel, murder mysteries, and romance worked beautifully. Perhaps what I was most amazed about was how the writers managed to work in commentary about societal issues like the stigma against mental health, LGBTQ issues, physical disability, among others. Probably one of Taiwan's best dramas ever! Happy to have contributed to the subs for this show. Worth the watch!
