“Welcome,” also known by the Spanish name “Bienvenidos,” is a Venezuelan sketch comedy television show that aired for 20 years on Cisneros Media from 1982 to 2001 and for its final season on Televen from 2001 to 2002. Produced and hosted by Miguel Ángel Landa, each one-hour episode usually contained 20 to 25 comedy sketches that spanned everyday events and relationships. Some of the popular recurring characters have included Briagoberto (Gustavo Gonzalez), a perpetually drunk man; Enrico (Ernesto Cortés), a gay man who starts out masculine but then grows increasingly effeminate; El Loco Hugo (Kike Corona), a lunatic who likes to flash women; and Nino Frescobaldi (Julio Gassette), a naughty man who wears a bowtie.
