There is definitely a pecking order of physical prowess within a large metropolitan police department. The members of the Incident Medical Assistance Team, otherwise known as IMAT, are not at the top. During a joint training session with members of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), Akira Hyuga (Hiroshi Tamaki) and the other members of IMAT perform so poorly that special investigator Takuma Kageura (Kei Tanaka) complains to his boss, Kenzo Arai (Katsunori Takahashi), that IMAT will jeopardize the SIT in a live crime situation. But when a member of SIT suddenly collapses, Akira quickly diagnoses that he has aortic disease and saves his life. Can Akira use his medical skills to prove his group’s worth when an explosion occurs at a park a few days later, resulting in many casualties? “IMAT ～Crime Scene Medics～” is a 2013 Japanese telefilm.
