It’s hard to grow up knowing that you are not your mother’s favorite child. Lee Jin Ae (Eugene) has always had a difficult relationship with her mother, Lim San Ok (Go Doo Shim), knowing that her mother has always favored her older brother, Lee Hyeong Gyu (Oh Min Seok). The abrasive San Ok is always expecting Jin Ae to help pay for her older brother’s schooling while also paying off the bad investment debts incurred by her bumbling, but lovable, father, Lee Dong Chool (Kim Kap Soo). As a result, Hyeong Gyu has become an attorney, while Jin Ae has had to forego higher education and work her way up a large fashion company. Despite getting all the support from his family, Hyeong Gyu is still having a hard time becoming successful because of his pride and opens up a small law practice and hires the inexperienced Sun Hye Joo (Son Yeo Eun) as his secretary. Meanwhile, their younger brother, Lee Hyeong Soon (Choi Tae Joon), has trouble finding gainful employment and gets tangled up in the life of Jang Chae Ri (Jo Bo Ah), the daughter of a major construction company CEO Jang Cheol Woong (Song Seung Hwan). When Jin Ae works her way up to becoming the personal secretary of her idol, her company CEO Hwang Young Sun (Kim Mi Sook), San Ok becomes jealous of Jin Ae’s close relationship with her new boss. When San Ok disproves of Jin Ae’s relationship with their new boarder, Kang Hoon Jae (Lee Sang Woo), the mother-daughter relationship becomes even more contentious. Can this relationship be saved? “All About My Mom” is a 2015 South Korean drama series directed by Lee Gun Jun.
