What could be scarier than going about your daily life and then unexpectedly experiencing a terrifying event? In six episodes, six different events show how real-life horror can suddenly manifest itself in people’s lives. In “Kuiuchi,” Kazumi Nozue (Shido Nakamura) is a scam artist who finds a dead body on a golf course. In “Yakocyu,” Takako (Sei Ashina) is a nightclub hostess who becomes stranded on a cruise ship. In “Yari,” Keiji Nawa (Yusuke Yamamoto) is a developmentally challenged man who suddenly remembers a mysterious event from his past. In “CryEyes,” a curious neighbor sees an unmoving woman in the living room of Kawase (Shinji Takeda). In “Taxy,” Mitsui (Masahiro Koumoto) is a taxi driver with extrasensory perception who picks up the distraught Shoko (Eriko Sato). In “Kagiano,” office worker Matsuura (Norito Yashima) goes to visit an old friend in his new home, which happens to be site of an infamous incident. “Real Horror” is a Japanese drama series directed by Koutarou Terauchi. It comprises six stories that depict the horrors we experience in daily life. It is based on a collection of short stories written by Koji Suzuki, the writer of the “Ring” horror series.
