The true meaning of family sometimes has nothing to do with blood. When Chang Hoon (Jung Dong Hwan) brings home a little baby girl he says he found abandoned at a bus stop, his wife, Kim Jung Ae (Go Doo Shim) raises her like her own daughter. Lee Soon Shin (IU) grows up happily with her older sisters, Lee Yoo Shin (Yoo In Na) and Lee Hye Shin (Son Tae Young). Hye Shin feels like a failure when she becomes a single mother after her marriage ends but finds kindness in Seo Jin Wook (Jung Woo), the neighborhood baker. Yoo Shin puts her work ahead of her dating life but begins to realize that her neighbor, Park Chan Woo (Go Joo Won), means more to her than she thought. Meanwhile Soon Shin struggles to find work after graduating from school and works in temp jobs. One day, she meets a man claiming to be Shin Joon Ho, the head of the talent agency Gabi Entertainment, who wants to make Soon Shin into an actress. After signing a contract, Soon Shin finds out that she has been scammed by an imposter. Suddenly saddled with a large debt she has to repay, Soon Shin goes to work as a waitress at a café in the same building as Gabi Entertainment and soon becomes embroiled in a fun bet between the real Joon Ho (Jo Jung Suk) and his ex-girlfriend, actress Choi Yeon Ah (Kim Yoon Seo). Soon Shin’s life is further thrown into turmoil by the sudden accidental death of Chang Hoon and realization that her birth mother is the famous actress Song Mi Ryung (Lee Mi Sook).
