Some love stories don’t end happily. Kang Min Gu (Kim Young Jae) was very much in love with Cha Eun Suk (Shin Min Ah) but they end up breaking up. When Min Gu learns that Eun Suk, an aspiring actress, is engaged to be married to Kim Joon Sung (Lee Ki Woo), the heir to a large conglomerate, he is devastated. Min Gu tries to kill himself and ends up being in a vegetative state. His younger brother, Kang Bok Gu (Rain), vows revenge against Eun Suk for doing this to his brother. Bok Gu is a skilled K-1 fighter who has been living with Han Da Jung (Kim Sa Rang) out of guilt. Da Jung saved Bok Gu from a fire when they were teenagers and became scarred, so Bok Gu feels a sense of responsibility to spend the rest of his life with her even though he doesn’t love her. But with his new purpose of revenge, Bok Gu goes to work for Eun Suk as her bodyguard with the intent to make her fall in love with him and ruin her marriage plans. But when his plans work all too well, Bok Gu also falls for Eun Suk and learns the real story behind Eun Suk and Min Gu’s breakup. What will happen when Bok Gu and Eun Suk realize that they can never be together? “A Love to Kill” is a 2005 South Korean drama series directed by Kim Kyu Tae.
