No-Oven Green Tea Tiramisu

In this video, I will show you how to make No-Oven Green Tea Tiramisu. I am aware that tiramisu is layered ladyfingers, but the sponge cake went better with the green tea so I altered the recipe a bit. You also can consider cream cheese as a cheaper alternative to mascarpone. It would have been better with just two layers of bread, because it almost turned out like a cake. However, it was still good and I absolutely adore green tea. It's much simpler with Castella cake, so give it a try.


Ingredients for the Syrup

140g Water

90g Sugar

5g Green Tea Powder


Melt the butter in a microwave and leave to cool.


Ingredients for the Cake

3 Eggs, 120g Sugar

100g Cake Flour

5g Green Tea Powder

30g Butter, 30g Milk

Vanilla Extract


Ingredients for the Cream

200g Cream Cheese

100g Creme Fraiche Whipping Cream or Double Cream

70g Sugar

Green Tea Powder

1tsp Water


You should beware and take enough time to cool the butter and milk after putting it in the microwave for 40 seconds. Also, with the green tea syrup, you need to melt the syrup all the way in the microwave. You also can adjust the amount of cream cheese and sugar for the green tea cream.
