Special Halloween Cherry Pie

Hello, this is Sweet The MI. In today's video, I'll be making a Halloween Cherry Pie! :) Ingredients: 350g Cake Flour, 1Tbsp Sugar, 1tsp Salt, 220g Cold Butter, 1/4c Ice Water, 1kg Frozen Cherries, 300g Sugar, 90g Corn Starch, Millk, and extra sugar for sprinkling. Recipe -- 1) Cut cold butter into little cubes. 2) Mix the cold diced butter, sugar, salt and the cake flour using a dough blender. If you don't have a dough blender, use your finger tips or the food processor. 3) Add the ice water over the mixture and mix them until the dough comes together. 4) Prepare your dough, divide in half then wrap each dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. 5) Defrost frozen cherries to room temperature. 6) In a bowl, mix the cherries, sugar and corn starch together. Add the vanilla extract or lemon juice if desired. 7) Roll out dough large enough to fit into a pan. Pour cherry mixture into the crust. 8) Cut the dough into strips and make a lattice top. 9) Lightly brush the surface of the pastry with beaten egg or milk and sprinkle with sugar. 10) Bake the cherry pie at 230C (440F) for 15 minutes. Turn the oven down to 190C (375F) and bake for another 60 minutes.
