Three millennia ago, an epic clash of mortal and supernatural forces ended with a mighty deity defeating the fearsome Wolf King. The Wolf Queen begged the victor for mercy, and the deity acquiesced. In doing so, he stated that the Wolf King’s Phantom clan would have to wait for the arrival of the redeeming Way Seeker, who would one day come to determine the clan’s ultimate destiny.
Now, 1,000 years later, a group of heroes joins the bold Five Fairy Alliance as it embarks on a fierce race to find the Way Seeker before the forces of the Phantom clan.
The quest’s protagonist is Zhang Ling (Tong Meng Shi), a young man abandoned by his father and raised by his aunt and her family. His martial arts skills are unparalleled, and he proves a formidable warrior – despite his unorthodox weapon of choice (a parasol).
Zhang Ling’s closest ally is Tie Lang (Pei Zi Tian), a loyal but introverted swordsman whose own weapon possesses remarkable powers.
He also strikes up a strong bond with the attractive yet fierce Fei Fei (Wang Xiu Zhu), the warrior daughter of the leader of the Five Fairy Alliance. Fei Fei has also caught the eye of both Tie Lang and the most senior warrior disciple in the alliance.
Together the heroes must battle mythical beasts, magical warlocks, and fierce martial artist rivals as the Phantom clan fights for supremacy.
Who will win Fei Fei’s heart? Who is the Way Seeker? And can Zhang Ling outsmart – and outfight – the powers of darkness?
