Is it possible to try to avoid having a broken marriage only to run right into it? Kang Jae Mi (Lee Bo Young) watched her happy family life dissolve when her father, Kang Hyung Do (Cheon Ho Jin), cheats on her mother and leaves her to marry his much younger mistress, Byun Joo Ri (Byun Jung Soo). Jae Mi marries Han Jung Soo (Jin Yi Han) and is determined to never divorce because she knows first-hand how devastating it is to a family. But Jung Soo ends up having an affair and getting his mistress pregnant. In an elaborate scheme, Jung Soo sends Jae Mi and her family on a vacation to Guam while he initiates a divorce. When Jae Mi returns to Korea, she finds out about the divorce and tries to pick up her life and move on without her “loser” husband. But then Jung Soo has second thoughts and hires Byun Dong Woo (Lee Tae Sung) to invalidate his divorce with Jae Mi. Things couldn’t get more complicated because Dong Woo is the younger brother of Jae Mi’s father’s new wife, and Dong Woo develops feelings for Jae Mi when he is supposed to be working against her. What will become of Jae Mi’s convoluted relationships? “Hooray for Love” is a 2011 South Korean drama series directed by Joo Sung Woo.
