Song Sam Dong (Kim Soo Hyun) wants to be a farmer but falls in love with Hye Mi and follows her to the performing arts school and discovers his hidden musical talent. Jin Kuk (Taecyeon), the school president’s son, is naturally gifted at dancing and rapping and is very protective of Hye Mi, his childhood friend. Yoon Back Hee (Ham Eun Jung) is Hye Mi’s best friend until she betrays her during the Kirin school auditions and becomes Hye Mi’s biggest rival. Kim Pil Suk (IU) has a beautiful singing voice but is considered overweight by entertainment standards. She pledges to lose weight not only for her career but also to impress her secret crush, Jae Son. Jae Son (Jang Woo Young) is a Korean American who strives to sing and dance. His kindness and good manners makes Pil Suk believe that he likes her. As the students try to learn their craft and mature into successful music stars, they face challenges and heartaches.
