Nam Sang Mi is a popular South Korean actress. Born on May 3, 1984, she was discovered while she was working at a fast food restaurant in 2001. Someone posted photos of her online, and her popularity as an “ulzzang” (slang term for “best face” or “good-looking”) led to opportunities to break into acting. She made her acting debut in the 2003 television drama “Love Letter” and got her first leading role in “Sweet Spy” in 2005. She has since starred in many popular films and television dramas, including “Life Is Beautiful” (2010, “Goddess of Marriage” (2013) and “Gunman of Joseon” (2014).
