Han Zhen Zhen (Sonia Sui) is a woman who has been through a lot. Once swimming in debt, she has managed to repay all of her loans – leaving her penniless. But she wants her family to have a fresh start – and thinks that moving into her sister’s exclusive neighborhood full of wealthy and powerful individuals will help her do so. So she, her teenage daughter, and her husband, the struggling and frustrated writer Zhuang Jun Jie (James Wen) decide to do precisely that.

Han Zhen Zhen first thinks that all is well. But she is soon sucked into local power politics, and becomes embroiled in a bitter dispute. And things get even worse for their daughter, who is tormented by her past demons. She was once the victim of bullying, and her misfortunes continue in the new neighborhood when she is sexually assaulted. Zhuang Jun Jie accuses a baseball player and fellow resident of carrying out the crime. But is he really her attacker? And what will become of the family as local rivalries deepen?

Johnny (William) is a 25-year-old man, filled with sexual desire, who longs to have a real relationship with a woman. Every time he sees an attractive woman, he gets a nosebleed. His long-suffering mother Meng Jie (Samantha Ko) is worried that his lust will get the better of him, and that he will end up getting a woman pregnant. But his life is changed on the day he decides to seek out baking lessons from Mary (June), a baking teacher who is 15 years older than him – and also happens to be a friend of his mother.

Mary is wary of Johnny’s affections, and thinks that a relationship between them would be totally inappropriate. But Cupid has other plans for them. Eventually, she finds that fighting her feelings is a fruitless struggle – and finds herself seriously beginning on a romance with the younger man. But things take a turn when Johnny must go abroad to Italy to study. And then the situation gets extremely awkward when Johnny’s stunned mother learns of Mary’s love for her son. Will the pressure drive them apart – or can romance win the day?

A mix-up opens up a whole new world for a young woman with nowhere to go. 

Wang Xiao Xia (Lee Da Hae) has always had a rough life but faces the challenges with resilience and perseverance. After she and her brother grew up in an orphanage, her irresponsible brother saddles her with his son and disappears. Xiao Xia works many jobs to support herself and her nephew, only to have a misunderstanding with her landlord result in them being kicked out of their apartment. 

With nowhere else to turn, Xiao Xia runs into Chen Hao Jie (Zhou Yun Shen), who offers to help her find a place to live in exchange for Xiao Xia posing as his girlfriend with his family for just one day. But when Hao Jie is unable to wrangle any money out of his father, he disappears, leaving his family with the misunderstanding that Xiao Xia is Hao Jie’s fiancée and her nephew is Hao Jie’s son! 

A series of incidents leaves Xiao Xia unable to clear up the misunderstanding, as she and her nephew have nowhere else to go. Hao Jie’s younger brother, Chen Hao Feng (Joe Cheng), takes an instant disliking to Xiao Xia. Hao Feng heads up the family’s restaurant business as the talented head chef. But when Hao Feng and his family discover that Xiao Xia has a rare natural talent for cooking, they are eager to groom her to become a head chef. 

When Hao Feng’s ex-girlfriend comes back into his life, what will happen to his newfound closeness with Xiao Xia?
