High school sweethearts Qiao Qiao (Bai Bai He) and Li Xing (Eddie Peng) are just about to graduate from university when Li Xing surprises Qiao Qiao with a sudden marriage proposal. Despite being together for so long, Qiao Qiao declines, but doesn't tell Li Xing the truth behind her reasoning. The two eventually decide to part ways, but agree that if they're both single in five years' time, they'll get married to each other. Five years later, Li Xing finally reaches out – but to Qiao Qiao's shock and devastation, he's getting married to someone else.
