He first made a name for himself with TV and movie acting roles in the early 1980s, appearing in the drama series “Saikai no Umi” (1980) and 1985’s “Sanada Taiheiki.” He also voiced characters in dubbed, Japanese-language Hollywood movie releases like “The Scorpion King” (2002) and “Real Steel” (2011). More recently, he appeared in the 2021 drama series “Risky.”
