Oishi Goro is a Japanese actor, musician and TV personality who was born on November 20, 1962, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He made his debut in 1966, when he debuted as a founding member of the pop group Bunnys. The group disbanded in 1971, and he went on to become the long-serving MC of the music show “Cocky Pop,” which ran from 1971 to 1986. He has also appeared in scores of movies, dramas, and TV shows, including the recent comedy movie “Gyoza You Can Kiss” (2018) and the drama series “Under the Miracle Cherry Tree” (2020).

Kuzumi Haruhiko (Izuka Kenta) was just a poor university student when he met the writer Kijima Rio (Takezai Terunosuke). When the latter suffered an injury, the two men came to an agreement that involved Kuzumi Haruhiko transcribing an erotic story on Kijima’s behalf. Over time, their relationship became romantic, but fate separated them.

Almost three years later, Rio has returned to his parents’ countryside home to live with his sister, her husband, and his young niece. He still writes to Haruhiko, but the duo never expects to see each other again. Fate intervenes, and they are reunited. Soon, Haruhiko starts visiting the house regularly, and their relationship is (secretly) reignited. But when Rio’s niece makes an offhand remark, his family learns of the truth. Will this incident drive them apart – or bring them together once and for all?

Mei (Iitoyo Marie) is a 24-year-old woman who left her tranquil hometown behind for the allure of the big city.

She works at a major publishing company, but one day has an incident at work and finds herself out of a job.

Mei hears of strange goings-on back home – where the cherry blossom trees have suddenly begun to blossom out of season. She decides to go back to investigate.

Visiting her hometown always fills her with sadness, as when she was just 17, her high school friend Kota (Sano Hayato) died in a sudden accident. The friends both had strong feelings for one another, but never had the courage to confess how they felt.

However, when Mei returns, she is surprised to discover that Kota has returned – although she soon learns that he may only be able to stay for as long as the cherry trees remain in bloom.

What magic has brought the two together again? And will the reunited friends finally confess their true feelings to one another?
