Seiyo Uchino is a Japanese actor who was born on September 16, 1968, in Yokohama, Japan. He studied political science at Tokyo’s Waseda University but soon turned his attention to acting. He made his debut in the early 1990s, appearing in the TV series “Machikado” (1993), and followed up with his movie debut two years later in “A Last Note” (2015). Since then, he has gone on to play the lead role in a whole host of hit Japanese dramas, including “The Samurai I Loved” (2003) and “The Samurai Banner of Furin Kazan” (2007). He appeared in “Jin” in 2009, as well as the sequel “Jin Final” in 2011. More recently, he has starred in “What Did You Eat Yesterday?” (2019).
