Yamamoto Mizuki began working as a model in 2009 and modeled exclusively for CanCam Magazine. She won the Tokyo Supermodel Contest later that year and made her television debut in 2011 in Fuji TV's serial drama "Let's Become Happy". The following year, she appeared in her first film,"The Kirishima Thing", a high school drama that won that year's Japan Academy Prize for Picture of the Year.

Ren Takahashi (Masaki Suda) and Aoi Sonoda (Nana Komatsu) were born in the same year: 1989. They meet when they are both aged 13 and fall for each other. Ren confesses his feeling for Aoi as they walk home together and they agree to meet the next day. But the meeting never takes place – Aoi’s family relocates suddenly to Sapporo. He takes a train to find her and manages to track her down, only to discover that Aoi has been viciously assaulted by her mother’s boyfriend. They escape to an empty house, where they share a night of passion – only to be separated by the police the next morning.

Years later, they are reunited as adults in Tokyo, although much has changed in the years since they last saw each other. Yuni (Nana Komatsu) is a high school student who lives with her relative Kazuma Akechi (Arai Hirofumi), who is also the school’s math teacher.

She is an exceptional student, but has been struggling with English, so starts taking additional lessons on a one-to-one basis with the school’s English teacher Haruka Sakurai (Tomohisa Yamashita).

But during their lessons, a romantic bond slowly starts to form between the two. Kazuma Akechi starts to sense something is amiss, so puts an end to the tutoring. However, it may be too late, as the duo’s love has already started to blossom.
