Emi Wakui is a Japanese actress who was born on December 8, 1970, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. She made her debut in the 1988 drama series and manga adaptation “Hana no Asuka-gumi!” She followed up with her movie bow in “Beppin no Machi” in 1989. In 1993, she starred in the series “Rainbow Bridge,” bagging the Best Actress prize at the 1994 Japanese Academy Awards for her performance. Her more recent acting credits include the movies “My Retirement, My Life” (2018) and “Our Story” (2020).
