Mayumi Sada is a Japanese model, singer, and actress. She was born on August 23, 1977, in Tokyo, Japan, and began her career as a model at the age of three. In 2001, she made her debut as a singer with the release of her debut single, “Pray/discovery”. In 2003, she made her acting debut, taking her first role in a film. Since then, she has appeared in a variety of films and television dramas, including “BOYS OVER FLOWERS” (2005) and “BOYS OVER FLOWERS 2 (returns)” (2007).

After announcing their engagement to the world, Tsukasa Domyoji (Jun Matsumoto) and Tsukushi Makino (Mao Inoue) are called to formally meet with their parents. During the meeting with Tsukasa’s parents, his mother presents Tsukasa with a beautiful tiara which is said to grant endless love to the owner and her partner. Touched by the gift, Tsukasa plans to cherish it forever but almost immediately after receiving it, the tiara is stolen.

Determined to find the thief and retrieve the tiara, Tsukasa and Tsukushi follow a trail of clues which leads them to a casino in Las Vegas. Realizing their odds of catching the thief on their own are slim, Tsukasa calls in the rest of the F4 to help. Arriving at the casino, Rui Hanazawa (Shun Oguri), Sojiro Nishikado (Shota Matsuda), and Akira Mimasaka (Tsuyoshi Abe) try to help in recovering the tiara but their arrival comes too late. Learning the tiara is to be sold on the black market in Hong Kong, the reunited friends head to Hong Kong but their plans to retrieve the tiara are thwarted once again.

Chasing the tiara from one side of the world to the other, Tsukasa, Tsukushi, and their friends are determined to get it back, but find that doing so is much easier said than done. With their eternal happiness on the line, will Tsukasa and Tsukushi be able to retrieve the tiara before the wedding or will their “happily ever after” be doomed before it even has a chance to start?

Based on the manga series of the same name by Yoko Kamio and the last of the “Boys Over Flowers” live-action trilogy, “BOYS OVER FLOWERS the movie” is a 2008 Japanese romance film directed by Yasuharu Ishii.

It’s been a year since Domyouji Tsukasa (Jun Matsumoto) left for New York but Makino Tsukushi (Mao Inoue) refuses to accept his reasons for going alone. Following him to New York, Makino is convinced she’ll be able to find Domyouji and make him explain himself, but her adventures in New York turn out to be much different than those she had planned. Despite the difficulties she has upon arrival, Makino eventually has the chance to confront Domyouji, but all of her hopes of reconciliation are crushed by his cold demeanor.

Convinced Domyouji has changed completely, Makino returns to Japan heartbroken. Determined to erase all thoughts of and lingering feelings for Domyouji away completely, Makino focuses on her studies but no matter how hard she tries, fate seems determined to bring them back together in some of the cruelest ways possible. Unable to escape her seemingly unfortunate fate, Makino turns to Rui Hanazawa (Shun Oguri) for strength and comfort, a fact that doesn’t go unnoticed by Domyouji. Jealous of Rui and Makino’s growing relationship, Domyouji finds himself torn between his feelings for Makino and the duty he has to fulfill for the sake of his family.

Caught in a complicated web of broken hearts and new relationships, it seems as if Domyouji and Makino’s time together has truly ended. But fate, it would seem, hasn’t finished with them yet. Brought together one last time, will Makino and Domyouji finally have a chance to live happily ever after?
