Richie Ren is a Taiwanese singer and actor who was born on June 23, 1966, in Tianzhong, Changhua County. He studied at the Chinese Culture University, majoring in Physical Education, but soon turned his attention to music and acting, appearing in the TV drama series “The Orphans” in 1989. He followed up with his big-screen bow in “Cops and Robbers” (1991). In 1999, he appeared in the movie “Fly Me to Polaris,” also performing the OST’s lead track. His musical performance bagged him the Best Original Film Song prize at the Hong Kong Film Awards later the same year.
