Hyosung is the stage name of Jun Hyo Sung, a South Korean singer, dancer and MC. Born on October 13, 1989, she is best known for being a member of the popular K-pop girl group Secret. She launched her career in 2005 after she appeared on the television competition “Battle Shinhwa.” Hyosung was originally going to debut in a girl group called Five Girls, but the group disbanded prior to its debut due to financial problems of its management company. She then debuted as a member of Secret in 2009 and branched out to do solo work starting in 2014. In addition to her music, Hyosung made her acting debut in the 2012 television drama “Salamander Guru and the Shadows” and has since appeared in “Cheo Yong” (2014), “My Dear Cat” (2014), “Cheo Yong 2” (2015) and “Wanted” (2016). She also has been a popular fixture on Korean variety shows, including “Oh! My School” (2011), “Infinite Challenge,” “Weekly Idol,” “Law of the Jungle: Hidden Kingdom Special in Brunei” (2015) and “My Little Television” (2016).
