Jung Ryeo Won is an award-winning South Korean actress. She was born on January 21, 1981, in Korea but holds Australian citizenship after immigrating to Brisbane with her family when she was 10. She was discovered by a talent agent while vacationing in Korea in 1999 and debuted as a singer that year in the girl group Chakra. After the group disbanded in 2006, Jung Ryeo Won focused on acting full time. She gained widespread fame in the 2005 television drama “My Name Is Kim Sam Soon” and went on to star in “History of a Salaryman” (2012), “King of Dramas” (2012), “Medical Top Team” (2013) and “Bubblegum” (2015). Jung Ryeo Won published the book titled Ryeowon’s Sketchbook in 2007 and began hosting the reality show “Art Star Korea” in 2014.
