In desperation, Jeong Yeon agrees to carry what she believes are uncut gemstones while traveling, in exchange for cash – only to be arrested in Paris for smuggling nearly 40 pounds of cocaine. Stranded and imprisoned on the French island of Martinique, Jeong Yeon struggles to maintain her dignity and hope for her family's future while thousands of miles away from home.
