Kim Ji Young was a South Korean actress who was born on September 25, 1938, in Chongjin, in what is now North Korea. She died on February 17, 2017. She began to act in movies in the 1960s, and starred in films such as “Hwang, Man of Wealth at Mapo” (1965) and “I Want to Go” (1967). She continued to appear in prominent movies up until shortly before her death, starring in box office hits like “My 11th Mother” (2007), “Haeundae” (2009), and “Boomerang Family” (2013) – as well as dramas like “Triangle” (2014) and “Dear My Friends” (2016).
