Oh Hyun Kyung is a South Korean actress. Born on March 25, 1970, as Oh Sang Ji, she won the 1989 Miss Korea beauty pageant and adopted her stage name to launch her career thereafter, winning Best New Actress for her role in the television drama “Ambitious Times” at the 1990 KBS Drama Awards. Some controversies in her personal life kept Oh Hyun Kyung in self-imposed exile for many years before she made a comeback in the 2007 television drama “First Wives’ Club,” for which she won many acting awards in 2008. She has since starred in many popular dramas, including the recent “The Great Seer” (2012), “Wang’s Family” (2013), “The Legendary Witch” (2014), “Dear Fair Lady Gong Shim” (2016) and “Laurel Tree Tailors” (2016-2017).
