Shin Eun Kyung is an award-winning veteran South Korean actress. Born on February 15, 1973, she started her career appearing in commercials at the age of 13. She began hosting the television variety show “Beautiful Morning With Shin Eun Kyung and Kim Chang Wan” in 1997 and then made her acting debut in the 1988 television series “Door of Desire.” But it was her role in the hit 1997 film “Downfall” that elevated her to star status, and the 2002 film “My Wife Is a Gangster” is still considered her most famous role to date. Some of her recent popular roles include “Scandal: A Shocking and Wrongful Incident” (2013), “Your Neighbor’s Wife” (2013) and “The Village: Achiara’s Secret” (2015). Shin Eun Kyung also has been a professor at Seoul Hoseo Art College’s Department of Performing Arts since 2011.
