“My Sassy Girl” is a 2017 South Korean television drama series directed by Oh Jin Seok. It is based on the 2001 hit film by the same title directed by Kwak Jae Yong but takes the modern-day story back to the Joseon Dynasty.

Ji Hye is a proud woman who speaks her mind and works as a writer for a radio show. Tae Wook meets Ji Hye at a private gathering, and after two years of keeping an eye on her, he decides to ask her out. However, Ji Hye asks to call off their engagement because she can't withstand the overwhelming pressure of her future in-laws.
