Uee is the stage name of Kim Yu Jin, a South Korean singer and actress. Born on April 9, 1988, she is a member of the girl group After School. Uee grew up always wanting to become an actress, but she ended up debuting as a singer first with the girl group Five Girls in 2007. The group disbanded after the financial troubles of its management agency. Uee then joined After School in 2009. That same year, she made her acting debut in “Queen Seon Deok” (2009) and went on to star in “Birdie Buddy” (2011), “Ojakgyo Family” (2011), “Golden Rainbow” (2013), “Fool’s Love” (2015), “True Romance” (2015), “Marriage Contract” (2016), “Manhole” (2017) and “My Husband, Mr. Oh” (2018). Uee hosted the music variety show “Music Bank” with Lee Jang Woo from 2012 to 2013. Her father is Kim Sung Kap, the professional baseball coach for the South Korean team Nexen Heroes.
