Shim Eun Kyung is a highly acclaimed South Korean actress who started her career as a child actress and then made a successful transition into adult roles. Born on May 31, 1994, she made her acting debut when she was 9 years old in the 2004 television series “The Woman Who Wants to Marry.” She has since starred in many hit films and television dramas, winning numerous Best Actress awards along the way. Shim Eun Kyung was part of an ensemble female cast in the 2011 film “Sunny,” which became a blockbuster. She also starred in the 2014 comedy film “Miss Granny,” which was a box-office success and brought her many Best Actress accolades, as well as “Sori: Voice From the Heart” (2016). Shim Eun Kyung has been equally prolific on the small screen, starring in such notable television dramas as “Tomorrow Cantabile” (2014).

Ki Su Jong (Ha Jung Woo) has always dreamed of becoming a landlord, eventually scraping together everything he had and taking out loans to buy a building to support his wife Kim Seon (Lim Soo Jung) and their daughter through passive income. However, his plan turns out to be a disaster, as the building becomes a money pit. At the same time, Su Jong’s friend Hwal Seong (Kim Jun Han) also struggles with debt, leading him to stage a kidnapping in the basement of Su Jong’s building – and the victim is Hwal Seong’s own wife Yi Gyeong (Jung Soo Jung), as Hwal Seong hopes that her wealthy family will pay a hefty ransom. King Gwang Hae (Lee Byung Hun), the tyrannical 15th ruler of the Joseon Dynasty, orders his chief secretary Heo Gyun (Ryu Seung Ryong) to find him a body double to help evade assassination attempts. Heo Gyun finds Ha Seon (also played by Lee Byung Hun), a talented beggar who looks remarkably similar to the king, and not a moment too soon, as King Gwang Hae is poisoned shortly after. Heo Gyun grooms Ha Seon to take over while the real king recovers, and Ha Seon is put to the test during his first official appearance in the royal court. Ha Seon gives serious consideration to his subjects' concerns, taking a far more humanitarian approach than the real king. However, some who oppose King Gwang Hae find "the king's" sudden change in behavior suspicious, while the Queen Consort (Han Hyo Joo) struggles with her preference for Ha Seon over her actual husband.
