Min Dohee, known professionally as simply Dohee, is a South Korean singer and actress. She was born on September 25, 1994 in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province, South Korea, and made her debut in the entertainment industry in 2012 as the lead vocalist in the K-Pop girl group, Tiny G. In 2013, she made her acting debut, taking her first role in a television drama. After Tiny G announced they would be taking an indefinite hiatus in 2015, she switched her focus towards acting. Since then, she has appeared in various films and television dramas, including “Reply 1994” (2013), “Boarding House 24” (2014), “Tomorrow Cantabile” (2014), “My ID is Gangnam Beauty” (2018), and “365: Repeat the Year” (2020).

Rumors surround Don Hyuk, a highly praised high school fighter, after his girlfriend's sudden suicide. Plagued by the trauma, he is quick to fight if someone even mentions her name, landing him in juvenile detention. Determined to locate his offspring, the man researches the children of all of his past relationships and identifies six 24-year-olds (Dongjun of ZE:A, Min Dohee of Tiny-G, Ken of VIXX, Hyunyoung of Rainbow, High Top of BIGFLO and Kim Sa Eun) – three men and three women – and executes an elaborate plan to get the six to come live at his boarding house. The very different 20-somethings deal with life, love, work and relationships as they all live under one roof. Nostalgia again takes center stage in the mid-1990s, when K-pop group Seo Taiji and Boys exploded in popularity and everyone was obsessed with the Korean Basketball League. 

Sung Na Jung (Go Ara) is a polished woman living in modern-day Seoul with her husband and son. But she remembers back to 1994, the year that her parents (Sung Dong Il and Lee Il Hwa) moved from the Gyeongsang Province to the big city of Seoul to operate the Shin Chon Boarding House. That year, when she was 20 years old and crazy about the college basketball star Lee Sang Min, was a turning point in her life. 

Among the other fresh transplants from the countryside living in her parents’ boarding house that year would be her future husband. There’s Trash (Jung Woo), a third-year medical student who has grown up like her older brother; Sam Cheon Po (Kim Sung Kyun), a computer engineering major who feels alienated in Seoul; Haitai (Son Ho Joon), another computer engineering major who plays video games all the time; Bing Grae (Baro), a first-year medical student; and his cousin, Chil Bong (Yoo Yeon Seok), a pitcher on the Yonsei University Baseball Team. Also boarding at the house is the dark female student with the foul mouth, Jo Yoon Jin (Min Dohee).

“Reply 1994” is a follow-up series to the hit 2012 coming-of-age drama “Reply 1997.” It is written by Lee Woo Jung and directed by Shin Won Ho, the same team as the previous series.
