Moon Geun Young is a South Korean actress who has been dubbed “the nation’s little sister.” Born on May 6, 1987, she began modeling and working as a child actress at the age of 12. She became a star after appearing in the popular television drama “Autumn in My Heart” in 2000. After appearing in the blockbuster films “My Little Bride” in 2004 and “Innocent Steps” in 2005, Moon Geun Young became the youngest winner of the Daesang (Grand Prize) at the 2008 SBS Drama Awards for her role in the drama “Painter in the Wind.” The winner of many Best Actress awards, Moon Geun Young has easily made the transition into adult roles, most notably in “Cinderella’s Sister” (2010), “Mary Me, Mary!” (2010), “Cheongdam-dong Alice” (2012), “Jung Yi, Goddess of Fire” (2013) and “The Village: Achiara’s Secret” (2015).
