Lee Chae Young is a South Korean actress who was born on April 29, 1986, in Seoul, South Korea. She attended Dankook University and made her entertainment industry debut in the music video for the Turtles’ song Come On" in 2003. She went on to appear in the video for Rain’s 2004 release “I Do.” She made her acting debut in 2007, appearing in the series “Witch Yoo Hee.” She followed up with roles in hit drama such as “Iron Empress” and the more recent “A Man in a Veil” (2020).

Gyeo Ul witnesses her husband, Yu Jin, having an affair with her friend, Ae Ra, who becomes the target of her revenge. It causes Gyeo Ul to lose her eyesight and suffer from lock-in syndrome out of shock. Coincidentally, Gyeo Ul gets involved with Se Rin, the heiress who owns everything. Se Rin is an arrogant and cold-hearted woman who looks down on people and does not hesitate to take revenge on whoever stabs her in her back in return. Despite being a powerful crime lord, Chairman Oh (Kim Se Joon) has always prioritized civility and respect within his organization. As such, his underlings have always operated under the same code, including his most devoted man, Kim Gil Seok (Yoo Oh Sung). My Strange Hero contains a sketch of the turbulent life of the main character Kang Bok Su. By showing Kang Bok Su's life from his school days, this drama presents how a good teenage boy has gone bad and how he grows up into a good adult by resolving misunderstandings. Kang Bok Su was a handsome and good-natured high school student. He willingly helped his schoolmates who were in trouble and fought against anything he believed unfair and unreasonable. Naturally, most of his schoolmates liked him. One day, however, he was falsely accused of bullying his classmates and ended up being expelled from school. Even his girlfriend and best friend didn't trust and betrayed him. Now, as a grownup, he plans to go back to the high school and take revenge on those who framed him and made him suffer since his teenage years. However, things start to go wrong. Bok Su gets to be involved in a series of incidents and falls in love in the high school.
