Kwon Yuri is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actress. Born on December 5, 1989, she is best known for being a member of the popular K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation. Kwon Yuri was first discovered after she auditioned at a casting call in 2001 and came in second place in the youth dancing competition. She trained for nearly six years and then debuted in 2007 with Girls’ Generation. After some small parts in a documentary and film for the boy group Super Junior in 2005 to 2007, she has acted in several films and television dramas since, including “Unstoppable Marriage” (2007), “Fashion King” (2012), “Neighborhood Hero” (2016) and “Defendant” (2017). She also became a regular cast member of the variety show “Animals” in 2015.
