Krystal Jung, known simply as Krystal, is a popular South Korean singer and actress. She is best known for being a member of the K-pop girl group f(x) since 2009 and as the younger sister of Jessica Jung, a former member of the girl group Girls’ Generation. She also is a member of the ballad group S.M. The Ballad. Born as Chrystal Soo Jung on October 24, 1994, in San Francisco, California, Krystal was discovered at the age of 5 by a representative of SM Entertainment when she and her sister visited Korea in early 2000. Krystal made her acting debut in the 2010 sitcom “More Charming by the Day,” but she solidified her status as an up-and-coming lead actress with her roles in “Heirs” in 2013 and “She’s So Lovable,” co-starring with Rain, in 2014.
