Kim Ji Young is a South Korean actress. She was born in Okcheon County, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea on September 7, 1974 and made her acting debut in 1980. The recipient of numerous awards, including “Best New Actress”, “Best Supporting Actress”, and “Excellence Award Actress in a Serial Drama”, she has taken roles in both films and television dramas, including “May Queen” (2012) and “Good Casting” (2020).

Min Soo (Yoo Yeon Seok) is a dog-lover who has a beloved puppy named Runni. He is devoted to Runni, but looks to be forced to part with his pet when he meets and falls in love with a woman. He proposes marriage to her and she accepts. But she has a dog hair allergy, which means he will no longer be able to live with Runni. Reluctantly, he decides to look for a new home for his dog, and enlists the help of his older cousin Jin Kook (Cha Tae Hyun).

Jin Kook is a down-on-his-luck cafe operator whose business has just failed. But he agrees to help Min Soo find a suitable “guardian” for Runni. This task proves to be much harder than it first seems, though – the candidates who come forward all appear to be experiencing chaotic challenges. But during the course of the selection process, they get into all sorts of trouble – a fact that leads them with an ever-expanding collection of dogs to care for. Yoon Young (Hong Ye Ji) is a 19-year-old high schooler who is preparing to graduate and take her final exams. She lives alone, apart from her mother Kyung Sook (Kim Ji Young), who cannot speak due to a speech impediment: The two mainly communicate in sign language. Both Yoon Young and her mother work – the older woman works in a factory, while the younger works in a part-time job. But one fateful day, a man tries to sexually assault Yoon Young. When she tries to fight him off, she accidentally kills him.

She is sentenced to jail, and because of her age, she must go to an adult facility. Here, she is assigned a number – 2037. Even though prison life turns out to be tough and unforgiving, Yoon Young soon begins to strike up unlikely friendships with her cellmates – who include Jung Mi (Jun So Min) the last woman in South Korea to be convicted of adultery, a fraudster, a violent criminal, and a convicted murderer who is awaiting the death penalty. Incredibly, these women all take Yoon Young’s side. But can they provide her with the fortitude she will need if she is to make it through her grueling prison sentence?

Yoon Seol Hee (Kim Hee Ae) is a powerful businesswoman from a hugely wealthy family. One day, she dies very unexpectedly, and to add to the intrigue, the body vanishes from the morgue shortly after. Woo Jung Sik (Kim Sang Kyung), a once-brilliant but now ostensibly washed-up detective with a past shrouded in mystery is assigned to the case. Suspicion begins to fall on the woman’s widower Park Jin Han (Kim Kang Woo), a university professor who has been secretly having an affair with Hye Jin (Han Ji An), one of his students.

Although the evidence suggesting that Park Jin Han played a part in his wife’s death is at first very slim, Woo Jung Sik seems to have a hunch that the professor was somehow involved. As the investigation, the plot thickens – never more so than when Park Jin Han starts receiving text messages...from his “dead wife.”
