Jang Dong Gun is a South Korean actor who was born on March 7, 1972, in Seoul, South Korea. He studied at the Korea National University of Arts School of Drama, and went on to make his acting debut in 1992 in the drama series “Our Heaven.” He went on to appear in hit movies “Friend (2001) and “Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War” (2004), as well as the more recent film titles “VIP” (2017) and “Rampant” (2018), as well as the drama series “Arthdal Chronicles” (2019).

Jang Dong Gun

During the Joseon Dynasty, Crown Prince (not named) plans a coup against King Lee Jo (Kim Eui Sang), who is subservient to the Qing Emperor, by acquiring arquebuses from Dutch traders. War minister Kim Ja Joon (Jang Dong Gun) exposes and foils the prince's scheme, forcing him to agree to suicide while sending a message to his brother Gang Lim (Hyun Bin) to protect his pregnant wife. When Kim Ja Joon's troops board the Dutch ships to seize weapons, a soldier is bitten by a zombie, unknowingly spreading a savage infection that quickly transforms an entire village into flesh-eating monsters. Gang Lim must now navigate the dangerous landscape of political intrigue and zombie outbreak to save his sister-in-law from dual threats.
