Kang Shin Il is an award-winning veteran South Korean actor. Born on November 26, 1960, he started his acting career in 1985 in a theater troupe despite having a college degree in engineering. Kang Shin Il rose to fame in stage productions before making his big-screen debut in the 1998 film adaptation of “Chilsu and Mansu.” He has since enjoyed a prolific career in theater, films and television dramas, including the recent “Triangle” (2014), “Pinocchio” (2014), “Descendants of the Sun” (2016), “Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul Ho” (2016) and “Whisper” (2017).
