Kim Myung Min is an award-winning South Korean actor. Born on October 8, 1972, he broke into acting after winning a public acting contest in 1996. After playing various supporting roles for about five years, he landed his first leading role in the 2001 film “Sorum.” Kim Myung Min then suffered a series of bad luck with projects over the next three years and even toyed with the idea of immigrating to New Zealand. But he was offered the lead role in the epic 2004 historical drama “Immortal Admiral Yi Sun Shin,” for which he won the Best Actor award and catapulted to fame. He has since starred in many popular films and television dramas since, including “Beethoven Virus” (2008), “King of Dramas” (2012), “A New Leaf” (2014) and “Six Flying Dragons” (2015).
