Lee Deok Hwa is a South Korean actor and singer who was born on May 8, 1952, in Seoul, South Korea. He studied at Dongguk University, receiving a BA degree in Theater and Film. He first made a name for himself when he was selected as a new actor by the TBC broadcasting network. He has since appeared in dozens of hit movie and TV drama titles, and also launched a pop career in the early 1990s. He currently serves as the chairman of the Korean Film Actors’ Association and appeared on the reality TV show “I’m a Trot Singer” (2020).

Lee Jung Joo, also known as Judge Knucklehead, is a young judge who has lost both of her parents and whose older brother is incarcerated for the rape and murder of an underage girl. Sah Eui Hyun is a judge who strives to be fair, wise, and passionate in his field. Do Han Joon is a prosecutor who is also known as the Knucklehead Prosecutor. During the Joseon Dynasty in the late 1800s, the father of Chun Bong Sam (Jang Hyuk) made his living as a merchant before being framed for opium possession and wrongfully executed. He later inherits an inn, albeit in poor condition and requiring substantial renovation. Nevertheless, Bong Sam perseveres, maintaining his humble roots as he strives to become one of Korea’s top merchants despite opposition from greedier peers. This drama was based on Kim Joo Young’s novel “Gaekju,” serialized in a Korean daily newspaper from 1979–1983.
