Shim Changmin is a South Korean singer and actor who is best known for being a member of the K-pop boy group TVXQ. Born on February 18, 1988, he also goes by his stage names Changmin, Max Changmin and Max. Changmin was first scouted by a talent agent when he was 14, and he then made his debut as the youngest member of TVXQ in December 2003. Known as “Asia’s Stars” and “Kings of K-Pop,” TVXQ is considered one of the most successful K-pop boy groups, holding the record for the most No. 1 singles by a foreign music act in Japan. Changmin has written the lyrics to many of the group’s hit songs. Changmin made his acting debut with the other members of TVXQ in the 2006 miniseries “Vacation.” He has since starred in many popular films and television dramas, including “Paradise Ranch” (2011), “Mimi” (2014) and “Scholar Who Walks the Night” (2015). Changmin also has been a popular participant of variety shows, including hosting the show “Moonlight Prince” in 2013.
