Yoo Oh Sung is a veteran South Korean actor. Born on September 11, 1968, he made his acting debut in the 1991 film “Love, Love: Han Hee-jak’s Love Stories.” He has since enjoyed a prolific career in film, television and theater. He shot to fame in 1999 with his breakout roles in cult comedy film “The Spy” and the box-office hit “Attack of the Gas Station.” Some of his more recent popular roles include “The Great Doctor” (2012), “Gunman in Joseon” (2014), “Spy” (2014) and “The Merchant: Gaekju 2015” (2015).

“Spy”: First Impressions

Despite being a powerful crime lord, Chairman Oh (Kim Se Joon) has always prioritized civility and respect within his organization. As such, his underlings have always operated under the same code, including his most devoted man, Kim Gil Seok (Yoo Oh Sung). Trusted above all others, it’s Gil Seok who is trusted with the task of overseeing the construction of the organization’s largest resort and casino in Gangneung.

Guaranteed to be a smashing success, the prospect of this new casino draws the attention of a number of rival gangs. All hoping to get their own cut of the profits, other organization leaders try to step in but despite their best efforts, it’s Chairman Oh who ultimately holds the majority share. His mother wants him to become a lawyer to follow the footsteps of his estranged father, but he decided to quit law school and become a singer-actor.

The two are reunited when No Eul persuades a producer that wanted to film Joon Young’s documentary to give the job to her. Joon Young, dead-set against filming his documentary, initially gives No Eul a miserable time. Gradually, he relents and agrees to do the documentary, using the time to try and win her heart back. Over time, he realises No Eul is different. Now, she is materialistic and values money over justice, doing anything to get ahead.

Seung Ho (Cha Tae Hyun) is a successful jockey. One day, tragedy strikes when he is involved in a car crash that kills his wife, leaving him to look after his young daughter on his own. Seung Ho decides to try to tame this bad-tempered horse. He decides to try to ride Woo Bak to victory in a prestigious race. But can this injured horse and its almost-blind rider really do the unthinkable – and claim the big prize?
