About Yoo Ah In: 
Yoo Ah In is a popular South Korean actor. Born on October 6, 1986, as Uhm Hong Shik, he dropped out of high school to pursue a career in acting after being talent scouted by a casting agent outside his school. He decided to move to Seoul on his own to kick start his acting career and made his first TV appearance in a commercial in 2003. That same year, he debuted in the teen television series “Sharp”. In case you were wondering, he chose the stage name Yoo Ah In (“Ah In” coming from the German word for “one”) as his real name was considered too old-fashioned for a modern idol image.

Gangland associate Park Chang Bok (Yoo Jae Myung) is a firmly religious man who works alongside Tae In (Yoo Ah In), a young man who does not or cannot speak. Their unconventional work involves “cleaning” – mainly disposing of dead bodies after mobsters have killed their victims. But one day their supervisor decides to disobey the mob boss by abducting an 11-year-old girl to stop her from getting in harm’s way. The supervisor asks Tae In and Park Chang Bok to take care of the girl for 48 hours.

But then the mob boss takes revenge and has the supervisor killed – leaving the two “cleaners” stuck with the girl in what now appears to the rest of the world to be a kidnapping. Jong Su (Yoo Ah In) is a quiet introvert with a life full of sadness. His father has been charged with violent assault. One day, he runs into a long-lost childhood friend named Hae Mi (Jeon Jong Seo). The two get to talking and rekindle their friendship. This friendship then turns romantic, but it may not last long, as she tells him that she is heading off to Africa to travel. Jong Su hopes that they will stay in touch. But when she returns, she does so in the company of Ben (Steven Yeun), an affluent, Porsche-driving big-city type who appears to have won Hae Mi’s heart.

However, Ben is a man of mystery, and one day confesses to Jong Su that he has a dangerous hobby: arson. He, and Hae Mi, then promptly disappear, leaving Jong Su eager to track them down – before Hae Mi’s passion for him quells, and Ben’s frightening pastime gets out of hand…

During the Joseon Dynasty when women were not expected to be smart or allowed to be educated, Kim Yoon Hee (Park Min Young) was both. 

After her father passes away and her brother becomes ill, Yoon Hee disguises herself as a boy and takes on her brother’s identity to get odd jobs and help support her struggling family. When she realizes that there is good money to be made, Yoon Hee begins to take the entrance exams in the place of other students who want to get into the prestigious Sungkyunkwan University. 

During one such test, Yoon Hee is discovered to be perpetrating the illegal activity by the morally upright Lee Sun Joon (Park Yoochun), who threatens to turn her in. 

But believing that Yoon Hee is a boy, Sun Joon encourages her to take the test herself (with her brother’s identity). Both pass the exam and get into the university and become roommates. As Yoon Hee is now enjoying the glories of getting a higher education, she befriends the playboy Goo Yong Ha (Song Joong Ki) and the rebellious Moon Jae Shin (Yoo Ah In) and starts to develop feelings for Sun Joon – all the while trying to keep her true gender a secret from her new friends and the other male students.

It is based on the bestselling novel The Lives of SungKyunKwan Confucian Scholars by Jung Eon Gweol.
