Shim Hyung Tak is a South Korean actor. Born on January 12, 1978, he made his acting debut in the 2002 television series “Reservations for Love.” He has since starred mostly in television dramas, including the recent “Let’s Eat” (2013), “Can We Love?” (2014), “Persevere, Gu Hae Ra” (2015), “Divorce Lawyers in Love” (2015) and “Five Children” (2016). Shim Hyung Tak also has made popular appearances on television variety shows in recent years and served as a cast member of “Star Love Village” (2012), “Some Guys, Some Girls” (2015) and “Mari and I” (2016). Outside of acting, Shim Hyung Tak is known as “Shim-taku” by his fans because of his obsession with the Japanese cartoon robot cat known as Doraemon. He has said that the animated cat gave him comfort when he was bullied in school and he is an avid collector.
