About Lee Jung Jae:

Lee Jung Jae is a South Korean actor who was born in Seoul, South Korea, on December 15, 1972. He first made his mark working as a fashion model and transitioned to television acting in the mid-1990s, which he has made his name ever since. His first of many acting gigs include university-themed drama “Feelings” (1994) and “Sandglass” (1995). He has since appeared in numerous hit movie titles, such as “The Thieves” (2012), “Warriors of the Dawn” (2017), and most recently “Deliver Us From Evil” (2020).

 

Prominent Roles:

Lee Jung Jae got his first breakthrough in late 1998 in the award-winning film, “An Affair”, followed by another prominent role in “City of The Rising Sun'', for which he was awarded the Best Actor Award at the Korea Chung Ryong Awards. While he has been famous for playing the antagonist in most films, the actor is not one to shy away from playing the protagonist as well. Lee Jung Jae’s most renowned role by far would be his portrayal of Player 456 or Seong Gi Hun, a character in the hit Korean drama “Squid Game”, which propelled him to international fame. Lee Jung Jae played Player 456 in “Squid Game” and instantly rose to fame internationally, with his Instagram account (@from_jjlee) garnering 4.9 million followers in a short period of time. In fact, his first-ever Instagram post, a selfie, had more than 2 million likes.
