Kwon Sang Woo

Biography

Kwon Sang Woo is a popular South Korean actor who has been cited as the most visible example of the “mom-zzang” movement, which credits people with a “great body.” Born on August 5, 1976, Kwon Sang Woo started his career as a model and broke into acting with the 2001 television drama “Delicious Proposal” before landing his first leading role in the 2002 comedy “Make It Big.” He has since starred in many popular films and television dramas, including “Queen of Ambition” (2013), “Medical Top Team” (2013) and “Temptation” (2014). Kwon Sang Woo has even branched out into making a few popular films in China with major stars like Cecilia Cheung and Jackie Chan. In addition to his acting career, Kwon Sang Woo is involved in a number of business ventures, including establishing a cosmetics firm Natural Tears in 2009, opening up a café in Myeong-dong, and being the biggest shareholder of the resort Ocean Blue Hotel Bali. Kwon Sang Woo married Song Tae Young, an actress and former Miss Korea, in 2008, and they have two children.
